Steam sign-in
DarkerGaming uses Steam's OpenID provider. You enter your credentials only on Steam's website. DarkerGaming does not receive or store your Steam password.
What is used
After a successful sign-in, the website keeps your public 64-bit SteamID in its server-side session. A temporary, HTTP-only cookie contains only the random session identifier. The website uses your SteamID to request public Steam profile information and to find your existing DarkerGaming statistics in the community database.
Public rankings
The rankings page displays statistics that are already visible through DarkerGaming's in-game player statistics and ranking systems. Public Steam names and avatars may be fetched from Steam's Web API.
Live server lists
The homepage displays player names, scores and connection times returned by the game servers' public Source query interface. This live response is kept only in a short server-side cache and is not added to the website database.
Cookies
The site uses a session cookie for Steam sign-in and request security. It contains a random session identifier rather than your password. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are included in this package.
Signing out
Use the Sign out button on the stats page to remove your SteamID from the active website session.
